about
A song now so old, its meaning is lost in the mists of time … well, not quite. It actually predated the Maggie Thatcher era, but said a lot of the garbage that she would eventually go and do. Destroy the strength of unions, make everyone accountable for everything, working class heroes …
lyrics
There’s panic out on the airwaves tonight, boy
Radio to radio through the air
For the trucker who sneaks on through the night.
As he turns his collar to the cold damp air
For he knows (as you know) the score
Holds his hands out and asks for more
Mr Winston Churchill would shake your hand
Come on in, boy, be part of the band,
The band, the band, the band, the band and…
He’s been waiting here so long
He’s been waiting here so long
He’s been waiting for, another open door
And this man will never change
There’s panic out on your airwaves tonight girl
Radio to rodeo through your hair
Mr Winston Churchill would shake your hand
Come on in, girl, be part of the band,
The band, the band, the band, the band and…
He’s been waiting here so long
He’s been waiting here so long
He’s been waiting for, another open door
And this man will never change

Glacier are a melodic progressive rock band based in the North East of England and have been in existence since the late 70's early 80's. All music is their own original work.

Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS!

To me, "Trip The Life Fantastic" was a must-buy on "Bandcamp Friday" this time. It's one of the few "Drifting Sun" albums not already found in my collection, and an essential one, because it marks the beginning of the prolific collaboration of composer/keyboardist Pat Sanders and lyricist/singer Peter Falconer, which was, in my opinion, the best creative pairing the band ever had. Wow! What a great album. Lots of great songs and great production. Some impressive guests as well like Jon Davison and Billy Sherwood of Yes. This album should be in every prog rock lovers collection. marcusalmightygemineye
